Community, Confidence & Failure: Why American Culture Drives Resilience?

Kindness is more than just a value — it’s deeply embedded in everyday life in the United States. Let’s not forget that the history of American settlers is built on mutual support and cooperation 🦃. Whether in business or in personal life, support is essential.

One of my experiences illustrates this cultural difference perfectly:
In France, stuck on the highway, I waited for roadside assistance while getting honked at (because I was a woman in heels and a skirt 🙄).
In the US, in almost the same situation, a complete stranger stopped and stayed with me for 45 minutes until the tow truck arrived.
Two different attitudes, two different mindsets... and two contrasting approaches to solidarity!

⚠️ Risk-Taking and Failure Tolerance
Here in the US, failure is seen as an opportunity to learn. Americans value those who dare to take risks, even if it ends in failure. Show your resilience and what you’ve learned from every experience.
Failure is simply a stepping stone to success! 🚀

💪 Fake it Until You Make it
In the United States, it’s not about lying, but about believing in your project 3000% 🔥 and being so convinced that you become unstoppable — and others start believing in it, too.
Project a rock-solid confidence in your vision to make it irresistible!

🔄 Community Spirit and Adaptability
It’s this sense of community that makes actions like supporting local businesses or helping neighbors in need so valued here.
For instance, I love those viral videos of volunteers mowing the lawns of abandoned houses due to illness.
Or take the story of that real estate agent who, during a garbage strike, paid out of his own pocket to have trash collected in his target neighborhood without telling anyone. His generosity helped him secure his first contracts thanks to the community’s recognition! 🙏

And you? What cultural differences have you observed in the spirit of community at work?
Have you ever experienced this kind of support in your business life?
